I got this idea from my Mom - she wrote our names on clothespins, so when we come to visit, we can clip them to our bath towels and easily keep track of our towels. In our beach cottage - the guest bedrooms have the potential to be shared with up to four people. We installed these towel hooks from Target to accommodate more towels than a simple towel rack. With all white towels - this could get confusing to keep track of which towel is yours. I thought Mom's idea provided a good answer...
I took regular clothespins and put a couple coats of pale aqua paint on them (Glimmer by Sherwin Williams). Then I used a stamp from my paper crafting supplies to write "beachy" words on them - in this case I chose an ocean creature theme. It would have been much easier to just write on them with a Sharpie, but I thought this gave them a unique look.

Here is a list of the words I chose - (other sea creature words had to be eliminated because they were too long and wouldn't fit on the clothespin)
- Shark
- Turtle
- Dolphin
- Lobster
- Tarpon
- Starfish
- Angelfish
- Seahorse
- Octopus
- Jellyfish
- Anemone
Once the stamping ink was dry - I added a coat of satin polyurethane for added durability.
I also made another set with the names of everyone in my family. They were so easy to make I figured why not!
